Nature-based tourism can broadly be defined as tourism with main activities related to nature. However, even though the nature-based tourism sector is growing rapidly in many respects in Europe, the level of innovations in nature tourism and recreation services has not been reported as very high. The innovativeness is an important element in the competitiveness of companies and has been seen as one of the indicators of the future development of the sector. The INNO NATOUR course was designed for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field of business, tourism and related disciplines. The IP course was held at "Stefan cel Mare" University of Suceava, Romania and brought together students from 6 EU countries: Finland, Italy, Austria, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Romania. The main aim of this IP was to improve the multilateral cooperation between higher education institutions, to increase the volume of student and teaching staff mobility and, on the other hand, to transfer the knowledge on innovation, innovation management and entrepreneurship straight from practice into the education by means of organizing a practical educational course and by working with real world cases.
