Sustainable livelihood contributes to human well-being and economic growth of a country. In the aftermath of repeated COVID-19 lockdowns, everyone irrespective of age, caste, colour, gender, etc. were affected. This study focusses on the sustainable livelihood issues and concerns of rural women-headed households in Dindigul District, Tamil Nadu. Evolving new strategies for sustainable livelihood empowerment of rural women-headed households to handle catastrophes and life crisis is very essential and need of the hour too. Hence the works of the author suggests recommendations to the central and state governments for planning programmes and policies to empower women-headed households in the country.
