The world's vegetable production occupies an area of around 89 million hectares, with a total production of 1.4 billion tonnes. This is an activity that provides great opportunities for family farming in the north-eastern region of Brazil, providing economic and social development for those who carry out this occupation. Based on this, this study sought to assess the level of sustainability of vegetable production in the municipalities of Lagoa Seca and Pombal, in the state of Paraíba.
