Besides writing, which I love, I volunteer in animal welfare, walking dogs, helping with adoptions, and serving as Volunteer Director for Georgia SPOT Society. We provide financial aid for spaying and neutering pets, addressing the pet overpopulation crisis, especially in Georgia, where I live with my foster dog, Callum. I wanted to combine my love for writing and helping animals, so I decided to donate book proceeds to SPOT. When you buy my books, you're making a difference in an animal's life. With the support of my sisters-Barb, who contributes to material costs, and Bonnie, who sews and knits bandannas, totes, and scarves-we've raised more for SPOT.
