Sweet and Sour Chicken or Sweet Sour Chicken is a Western Chinese cuisine dish. The chicken is essentially white meat chicken fingers deep-fried in batter. Unlike sweet and sour pork, this dish does not have a Chinese cuisine counterpart in the Far East. It is common in Australia, the UK and North America, although it may sometimes be found in restaurants in East and Southeast Asia in an essentially identical version. It is generally served with sweet and sour sauce, sometimes topped off with pineapples, green peppers and carrot.
