Vanessa and Carol have been friends since they were five years old and in the same kindergarten class. This story is based on Carol's true life "scary log" experience with Vanessa. Out on one of their many expeditions in the Illinois farmland, Vanessa crossed the scary log, but Carol declined. Vanessa was inspired by the story and setting far removed from the cornfields of the Midwest. She created a lush tropical world where Sylvie, Jet, and Toby meet. Both Carol and Vanessa are grateful for their shared love of art, books, childhood memories, laughter, and their lifelong friendship. Future adventures await.
