Cooperation between companies takes on a new dimension that requires also creation of new methods and tools for managing the logistics, largely based on new technological solutions. Synergy is one of the phenomena that are strongly emphasized in many areas of human activity, including economy. This is particularly evident in logistics processes, which are largely based on the search for new and better solutions. Synergy is reflected in almost every element of logistics management, especially in relationships between the different market players coordinating their actions aimed to achieve additional benefits. The purpose of this paper is to examine the phenomenon of synergy in the field of business logistics, by relating it to the area of supply. This is mainly due to the fact that in this area of business companies are looking for the cheapest and most efficient solutions.

Agnieszka Szmelter holds a Master¿s degree in Economics (field of Logistics) and Bachelor¿s degree in Management (field of Quality Management). Agnieszka is an academic teacher at University of Gdansk, Poland. Within wide range of interests, her main fields of expertise are: Six Sigma, ERP systems and logistics strategies in automotive industry.
