Linguistic studies on French in Cameroon highlight the specificities of spontaneous and reflexive French of Cameroonian francophone and/or anglophone speakers. The linguistic policy implemented by the Cameroonian authorities has not prevented the factors that contribute to the appropriation of French by Cameroonians. Numerous studies by Cameroonian linguists attest to this. This book proposes to describe and understand the mechanisms by which some Cameroonian speakers readily employ the "faulty" use of the syntactic features described.
