The synthesis and characterization of seven completely conjugated electroluminescent polymeric structures, obtained by polycondensation via Suzuki coupling, are described in detail in this work. Three completely conjugated structures were synthesized in order to investigate the variation of physical and electrical properties generated by the insertion of a strong electro-affinity grouping in the polymer chain. It was found that the presence of this grouping increased the performance of the physical and electrical properties of the polymer as an emission layer. In order to investigate the influence on the emissive characteristics of the polymers, caused by the systematic introduction of a coordination compound containing platinum, four other structures were synthesized containing bipyridine and thiophene groups statistically linked to fluorene units. The introduction of the groups allowed the formation of new aggregate species, responsible for the displacement of the emission to regions of lower energy, and of sites of extinction of radioactive excitons, decreasing the intensity of light emission.
