The synthesis of 1, 3, 4 - oxadiazoles with biological relevance in Chapter-II. The chapter-III describes environmentally benign synthesis of 2-(substituted phenyl ) benzoxazoles by using natural catalyst. The chapter-IV describes the synthesis of 3-acetyl- (2,5- substituted diphenyl)-2,3-dihydro-1, 3, 4- oxadiazole derivatives. In the chapter-V describes synthesis of 2-{4-[(E)-phenyldiazenyl] substituted phenyl}-1,3-benzoxazoles by using K10 montmorillonite clay as catalyst. The chapter-VI describes the synthesis of N-( substituted )phenyl-4-[5-(trifluoromethyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl] benzamides. In present work we have carried out synthesis of 3-[4-(1, 3-benzoxazol-2-yl)phenyl]-2-(substituted phenyl)-1,3-thiazolidin-4-ones with their antibacterial activities.By considering the huge biological importance of oxadiazole and benzoxazole derivatives .
