The main part of this book is dedicated to prebiotic stage concretely, to synthone chemistry. The formation of the first proteinogenic aminoacids S(L) and corresponding polipeptides with back-bone S(L) on the Earth are explained for the first time. The first polipeptides were formed from polipeptide precursors and not from the proteinogenic aminoacids. Experimental data concerning the behaviour of synthones (methylenes, nitrenes, carbon monoxide) in the presence of primary atmosphere components could explain the formation of the first aminoacids. Also, theoretical studies of chemical reactivity using D Gauss B88-LYP, CGA functional with DZVP basis sets, are presented in this book.

Gheorghe Surpateanu ist Professor, Dr., an der "Al.I.Cuza"-Universität und der "G. Asachi"-Technischen Universität, Iasi, Rumänien, der Universite du Littoral, Dunkerque, Frankreich, und Titularmitglied der Akademie der Rumänischen Wissenschaftler. Er hat sich auf organische und supramolekulare Chemie und Astrobiologie spezialisiert und 250 Artikel, 9 Übersichtsarbeiten, 11 Bücher und 31 Brevets verfasst.
