Genus Neavella Oldroyd is recorded for the first time from Palaearctic region (Egypt). Also, herein two new species (Neavella silvioides and Atylotus shagrensis) are described. Phylogeny based on cladistic analysis "at the specific and generic levels" of Tabanidae is conducted using 22 available taxa based on morphological characters.
