Dental occlusion is an important aspect of clinical dentistry; there are diverse functional demands ranging from highly precise tooth contacts to large crushing forces. In dentistry, uses of EMG are more common in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder, TMJ dysfunction, dystonia, muscle disease of the head and neck, cranial nerve lesion, and also seizure disorders.
