From Ohio, USA, Gina McKnight is an author of children's literature (The Blackberry Patch, 2009; Trail Ride to Snake Hollow, 2017 Monday Creek Publishing; Nawaab: The Great Quake, 2017, Banyan Publishing, India), with endorsements from the Ohio Quarter Horse Association, WHOA (Water, Hay, Oats Alliance), Outdoor Writers of Ohio, and the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio. Gina is the author of Dr. Smith's books (2017), including Milliron: Abbott "Pete" Smith, D.V.M. The Official Biography, Tales of A Country Vet, and the production of The South High Horseman: Stories and Poems by a Teen Cowboy by Peter Smith. Gina has written two poetry anthologies (To the Heart, 2015; Poetry from the Field, 2016), as well as appeared in international poetry volumes and literary journals. Currently, she is a contributing columnist for trueCOWBOYmagazine, Florida Equine Athlete, and Arabian Finish Line. Besides a freelance writer, she is an avid blogger about her life in rural Ohio. Gina lives on her family farm with her husband, son, and American Quarter Horses Zubedia and Mac. She would like to add a third horse, but, please, don't tell her husband.
