Takaful is an Arabic word meaning solidarity, it is a mechanism which is described as Islamic insurance system. According to Islamic philosophy, conventional insurance comprises of some factors which are prohibited. Takaful insurance provides the alternative solution to the problem. The system of Takaful is based on cooperation, mutual assistance, and risk sharing. It is growing rapidly in international market especially in Islamic countries. There is a prediction that it will be the default choice of Muslim countries citizens. The proposed research study is based on Takaful insurance and aimed to find out factors that influence behavioral intention towards the adoption of Takaful products in Pakistan. Relative Advantage, Compatibility, Social Influence, Awareness, and Religiosity are taken as factors. Hypotheses are formed and by using different statistical measures like Correlation and Binary Logistic Regression: results are interpreted. These results concluded that these factors have a significant impact on the behavioral intention towards Takaful usage. The findings further reveal that there is a great potential of Takaful business in Pakistani insurance market.
