Autorenporträt
Charlotte Fisher (b. 1963) began her writing career passing notes in the 7th grade. Since then, she's worked as a journalist, dog walker, greeting card writer and in corporate communications. Based in the Detroit area, her non-fiction work is largely biographical, focusing on sobriety, spirituality, healing and hope. Fisher shares her tragic, comedic, tender and twisted stories with the goal of helping others, having learned that, "Our pain is our greatest gift." She credits writers Anne Lamott and Erma Bombeck for their ability to find humor in adversity and wisdom in everyday life. At a time when she believed such things mattered, Fisher received her BA in Journalism from Michigan State University and MBA from The University of Michigan. She is most proud of her recovery, her service work and the rescue animals she shares with her partner of more than a decade. She also spends a lot of time napping and watching YouTube cat videos. Her sobriety date is March 23, 2004. Find her on Facebook and at lesbianlunch.com.
