Library professionals teach every day in the sense that they show patrons where to find books or how to use computers. Increasingly, however, library users just don't have the time to attend face-to-face workshops in advance of needs that they may have. They want to know the answer to their questions when THEY need it, not when YOU teach it. Take Your Library Workshops Online! will help you move valuable "teachable moments¿ from the physical library or classroom to virtual spaces.

Anne Grant is the Instruction Coordinator at Clemson University Libraries. She obtained her MLIS from the University of Alabama via their online program in 2007 and has presented at many state and national conferences about innovation and challenges in library instruction. She, along with her instruction team, has piloted numerous initiatives at Clemson such as the embedded librarian program in collaboration with Clemson Online, served as an integral developer in a required first-year-experience course, and led the development of the first series of online, drop-in workshops for the libraries. Diana Finkle is Instructional Designer for the Clemson University Libraries. She earned her MLIS from the University of Alabama in 2011, also via their online program. A digital native and technophile, Diana enjoys designing high-quality, engaging content for digital distribution. She also insists on creating accessible and user-friendly content, in part due to her previous experience bridging communication barriers as a medical interpreter. Since joining Clemson in 2013, Diana has redesigned the Libraries' first-year-experience content, overseen initiatives such as the Researcher of the Month outreach program and LibGuides content overhaul, and designed numerous informational and instructional videos, handouts, and marketing pieces.
