Peter J. Marzano is the son of an Italian and Irish family. His father arrived in New York City in 1908 from Calabria, and his mother came in 1928 from Cork. Born in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, he grew up on Staten Island, where he attended Staten Island Community College. Marzano served a construction apprenticeship and then began a sales and sales management career with divisions of General Dynamics, United Technologies, AT&T, and Air Liquid. His broad business experience spanned 45 years, allowing him to travel nationally and internationally in Europe for work and pleasure while living in Staten Island, Atlanta, Orlando, Hartford, and Wilmington, North Carolina. Marzano's knowledge and technical experience allowed him to help customers in various industrial settings. Marzano dated his high-school sweetheart, Kathleen Coyle, for five years before marrying in 1972. Now married for fifty-two years, they have four children and eleven grandchildren. Besides designing and general contracting three of his homes, he is an avid photographer and loves capturing images of family, friends, outdoor scenery, and wildlife.Marzano and his wife currently reside in Connecticut.
