Taking Captivity Captive explores the life of Jeremiah and the people of Judah between 626 B.C. and 586 B.C. Jeremiah was used as God's mouthpiece to awaken the nation to their sinful ways. However, Judah did not take heed of God's warnings and the long term consequences of their disobedience led to Babylon taking them captive. Through their 70 years in captivity, they came to know God intimately and were set free from the sin that had entangled them. This stubborn nation went from self-sufficient to complete dependence on God. As you delve into this study, you will see how we, just like the Judean nation, can also fall into the same trap nationally and individually. However, when God transforms us, we are changed forever. This 8-week life-transforming study includes daily assignments in the book and weekly video-centered group sessions that you can purchase and download online at www.grassandflowers.com.
