Scarlet and her second grade class follow the adventures, mystery, and seemingly magical ways of their substitute teacher. Scarlet wakes up after a long weekend of fun. She is excited to share her trinkets for star of the week and see her teacher, Mrs. Dorris. Everything changes when she finds out she has a substitute for the day. And, it's not the nice pretty one.
