The Apostle Thomas, of Doubting Thomas fame, spread the word of what he learned while traveling with Jesus all the way to southern India, where he established a Christian community that has survived until the present day. In this series of vignettes, 93-year-old Thomas recites to his disciple Michael everything he recalls of what Jesus said and did during his three year mission in Palestine. Although some of the vignettes are based on the Gospels as we have them, most are invented from whole cloth from the author's imagination, although they stick faithfully to the actual teachings of Jesus as they are written in the New Testament and in the Gospel of Thomas. Karl Bruno Gatti lives near San Jose, Costa Rica with his companion, Ileana, and their three dogs. Karl is a retired high school English and world history teacher who now spends his days writing.
