Talianki (Ukrainian: ), Ukraine, also referred to as Tallianki, Tal''anky, Tal''ianky or Tal''ianki, is located within the Talne Raion (district) of the Cherkasy Oblast (province), about 237 kilometers (150 miles) driving distance south of Kiev. It is a small farming community located among large open fields that cover the plateau above the nearby Tal''ianki River that winds its way through this area in a narrow riverine valley. Talianki was the location of the largest known settlement of the Neolithic Cucuteni-Trypillian culture, encompassing about 450 hectares (1112 acres), and laid out in an oval design of concentric rows of interconnected buildings, and measuring 3.5 kilometers (2.2 miles) long by 1.1 kilometers (0.7 miles) wide.
