Roberta Sheldon, Talkeetna resident for over 48 years, writes the introduction to this unique local history. Author Tom Sisul, a longtime Talkeetna resident and retired schoolteacher from the Matanuska-Susitna School District, graduated in education/history from Central Washington University. Sisul partnered with his niece Joy Keniston-Longrie, a University of Washington graduate, to write this local history book. Photographs were contributed from the Talkeetna Historical Society, University of Alaska, the National Park Service, Anchorage Museum of History and Art, and private collections.
