Autorenporträt

Francesca Ferguson, Jahrgang 1967, freie Kuratorin und Journalistin, gründete 1996 urban drift, ein internationales Netzwerk für zeitgenössische, urbane Praxis. In Ausstellungen, Konferenzen, Symposien und Workshops reflektiert urban drift seit 1999 Architekturthemen unter dem Einfluss wirtschaftlicher und sozialer Entwicklungen. Als Generalkommissarin im Auftrag der Bundesregierung entwickelte Francesca Ferguson den viel beachteten deutschen Beitrag "Deutschlandschaft" zur neunten Architektur Biennale 2004 in Venedig. Derzeit produziert und konzipiert sie die Ausstellung "Talking Cities", die 2006 im Rahmen der ENTRY auf Zeche Zollverein, Essen, gezeigt wird. Mitte 2006 übernimmt Francesca Ferguson die Leitung des Schweizerischen Architekturmuseums in Basel
