In the late 1970s and early 1980s, a TV comedian made a name for himself by asking - "What are you talkin' about? Today, I ask the same question every time I get a Telesales or Robo call on the phone. In Genesis, Chapter 11, we are told of the building of "The Tower Of Babel" about 200 (+/-) years after the biblical flood (Approximately 2300 BC). The world population was approximately 1,000,000, and a segment exhibited their pride by building a tower to the heavens to approach God on their terms rather than His. As has become the impetus for much of the governance in modern America, this project was the outcome of an executive order issued by a tribal leader named Nimrod. God could have destroyed the dissidents as he did with the flood, but to serve his sovereign purpose for humanity, to populate and tend to the management of all creation, He confounded their language, which disabled communication. The result was a dispersion of people throughout the world. There was no more unified work on the tower because audible and graphic signs were mere babbling. This book addresses cultural dysfunction in the modern era (the 2020s and continuing) based on dramatic departures from communication basics. In the 1960s, Xerox introduced fax technologies. In a few short years, the ability to construct meaningful sentences gave way to phrases and codes. Next came wireless phones, computers, tablets, and such, to the extent that academia abandoned writing, traditional math, sketching, and other foundational disciplines. A song (Nobody - Google Casting Crowns) establishes the need for this book and many others; based on our divinely ordained roles, we are to be our brother's keepers. Without the spiritual relationships with God and man, we merely exist in a two-dimensional world. Pohlkotte has crafted a training progression that has been perfected over his sixty-eight-year career, and now he offers it to you. The most prevalent pre-requisite for a job candidate today is the willingness to invest in time, effort, and attitudinal transformation regarding self-worth, self-will, and pride in personal performance, regardless of what others are doing. It's time to focus on attitude, self-discipline, and a personal willingness to sacrifice now for your future.
