Autorenporträt
After growing up on a small farm in Central Pennsylvania, The author spent her career in hard science as a chemist, a teacher, a software engineer and technical manager. Following 25 years with IBM she retired from the computer industry to focus on and enjoy three hobbies - golfing, hiking and writing. Golf is a great physical and social game that offers a challenge with every round. As for hiking, she and her little dog, Bailey, hit nearby wooded trails each morning for exercise, meditation and inspiration. And then there's writing. Cara loves wordplay and has found that writing fantasy, especially with critters as main characters, satisfies the make-believe part of her brain previously overshadowed by a lifetime of science and numbers. She and her husband currently live in Central Texas where they share four children and seven grandchildren who are scattered across the country.
