Alice Wilson-Fried grew up in the New Orleans Magnolia Housing Project. She is the mother of two, the stepmother of two and the grandmother of nine in a multi-racial and cultural family that runs the religious gamut. Her published works include a nonfiction entitled MENOPAUSE, SISTERHOOD AND TENNIS that journals her journey through "the change"; OUTSIDE CHILD, the first of a mystery triology set in pre-Katrina New Orleans; and ONE DROP, the second title in the triology that has the feuding sister and brother crime fighters (Ladonis and HeartTrouble) caught in the middle of murder and mayhem while struggling to escape Hurricane Katrina. She is currently working on book 3 that has the sleuthing siblings solving a crime while adjusting to life in their hometown following the most devastating storm in the city's history. >
