Autorenporträt
Brian Scheel is a graduate of West Point (Class of 2015) who served nearly six years as an active-duty Army officer in a combat arms branch and exited the military honorably as a captain. He is currently pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology with a neuroscience focus, particularly the brain systems involved in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in humans. He hopes to combine his leadership, tactical skills, and academic focus to make a positive change at the individual and systemic levels for those with PTSD and addiction problems. This book was written to illustrate lessons learned through his experiences while serving as an M1A2 Abrams tank platoon leader. The principles he hopes to instill in kids include diversity, equality, teamwork, and leadership as well as the Army Values: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage (LDRSHIP).
