The biogas generated in sewage treatment plants makes an important contribution to the production of electricity from renewable sources. In this work, a computer application was developed based on taxonomic algorithms, the purpose of which is to show the results of the selection of sewage treatment plants that present the best indications for the production of electricity from the biogas generated at these plants. These results are presented in a taxonomic structure, which can vary depending on the algorithm selected in the application. The experiment also showed the most suitable algorithm in the various case simulations proposed. The purpose of this work is to help future managers of biogas power generation projects make decisions, so that they can graphically classify the data according to previously chosen criteria from perspectives defined by prioritizing technical and economic criteria.
