Author Irene K. Michna is a lifelong resident of Taylor with a direct lineage to early settlers. Michna is a member of the Taylor Main Street Board and the Williamson Museum Board, serves as president of the Old Settlers Association of Williamson County, and has a passion for preserving Taylor's dense history. Taylor Main Street is engaged in revitalization efforts to renew downtown, restoring it to its former prominence as a center of community activity.
