The GTA experiment was touted to the public at all levels as a winning bet. That was just the first side of the coin. These lines have been written to reveal the other side of the coin in order to propose to the world rectifying actions towards the revitalization of this prestigious project on which rests the hope of a local community in particular and the international community in general. Some will wonder why such a dark picture has been painted and will be tempted to believe that it is a case of persistence. Rather, with a hand on the heart, we lament the efforts and funds invested in the Tayna Gorilla Reserve organization, which has remained a shadow of its former self. It is the end that justifies the means. If Tayna had been strong, it would not have missed such a historic opportunity, which is the REDD project. It is true that human work is never perfect, which is why weaknesses must be analyzed in order to improve future initiatives. In our opinion, we have used more politics than ethical values in a sustainable development action.

Mukosasenge Jacques, geboren am 25. Juli 1970 in Goma, stammt aus Hutwe, einer Ortschaft der Bamate (deren Herrscherfamilie er angehört), Territorium Lubero in der Provinz Nord-Kivu, DRK. Er ist ein Entwicklungshelfer mit dem Ansatz der Transformation von Gemeinschaften und arbeitet im Bereich des Gemeinschaftsschutzes und der Anwaltschaft.
