The work explores the possibility of an interpretation of the symbolic corpus that nourishes and articulates the tiawanakota myth of Andean genesis. It follows the version provided by Juan de Betanzos (15..) and the information so far obtained by historiography and archaeology centered in the circumlacustrine area of the Titiqaqa; thus, it makes a comparative proposal, with identity and Latin Americanist vocation.Regarding its methodology, there is a recourse to the "positional semantics" of Geertzian origin, and to the Andean anthropocosmicism developed by the author.
