Sahara Dust's love affair with tea began in her childhood in Zambia, where tea was an integral part of daily life. The highlight of her day was rushing home after school to dunk a slice of bakery bread, smeared with butter and pineapple jam into an inviting cup of Masala Chai.At an early age she developed a fascination with trees, kindled by spending countless hours climbing guava, jackfruit, and especially mango trees. The challenge being, that the best mangoes were always on a far- reaching thin limb at the tip of very tall trees. After struggling to reach and pluck them, she always reserved the finest for her dad. This deep-rooted connection fostered a lifelong love for trees, which she sees as nature's storytellers. Each tree, with its mighty roots spreading underground, its magnificent arching branches and colorful leaves opening to the sun, narrates a unique and timeless tale. Driven by a passion for tea, she opened a teashop that serves a variety of teas from all over the world. Through her shop she aims to create a new generation of tea lovers, as well as tea memories. Combining her love of tea and trees, she dreams of creating teatime adventures around the world as an invitation to readers to let their imaginations unfold under the canopy of both famous and hidden trees. Through these stories the magic of tea, and the wonder of trees, come together offering a unique experience with every sip and every branch.
