Teacher empowerment is an important component of many school improvement efforts, where teacher's capacity and involvement is enhanced through shared governance. It is one of the aspects of individual development process of many school improvement programs, where highest degree of efficiency can be achieved through empowerment. Teacher empowerment is one of the proposals of restructuring process, applying the creative energy and effective approach to adopt constant improvement with increase in job performance, productivity, improved teacher morale, increased teacher knowledge of subject matter, pedagogy, and in the end, higher student motivation and achievement. In this book the author examined the extent to which teacher empowerment variance explained by work determinants was examined to estimate the job and supervision influence on teacher empowerment dimensions in low and high-perceived organizational support (POS) groups. The groups were selected assuming that they would differ with the extent of influence on teacher empowerment by the work determinants.
