This research work focused on the analysis and review of "Teacher Leadership in Ecuadorian Educational Units". Due to the constant changes that society is undergoing as a result of economic, political and technological advances, there is a need to promote a type of teacher that responds to the needs demanded by society. Teachers of the 21st century achieve educational purposes through collaboration and communication, as long as they are designated according to their profile. The study is approached from the analytical documentary and descriptive bibliographic research. This methodology will allow us to find adequate information in the construction of the theoretical part, as well as the use of sites of reputable scientific publications. After the analysis and review of the theoretical references, it was found that teacher leadership is essential in the performance of the training process. It is concluded after the documentary analysis that teacher leadership is fundamental in theteaching-learning processes in the Educational Units of Ecuador.
