Elaine L. Wilmore is special assistant to the dean for NCATE accreditation and an associate professor of educational leadership and policy studies at the University of Texas at Arlington. Wilmore is president of the National Council of Professors of Educational Administration, the Cleburne (TX) Independent School District Board of Trustees, and Elaine L. Wilmore Leadership Initiatives. She is the University of Texas at Arlington founding director of School Administration Programs, Educational Leadership UTA, and the Scholars of Practice innovative programs for which she has received extensive grants. She has also served as chair of Educational Administration and director of University Program Development. In addition, Wilmore is active on local, state, and national boards, including the Texas Principals Leadership Initiative and the National Council of Professors of Educational Administration (NCPEA). She has served as president of the Texas Professors of Educational Administration, on the boards of the Texas Association of School Administrators and the Texas Consortium of Colleges of Teacher Education, and was in the original cadre of program/folio reviewers for the Educational Leadership Constituent Council for NCATE. Wilmore is highly regarded for her statewide success in helping students pass administrative certification examinations.
