This book is about a study that explores teacher participation in the decision making process in public secondary schools within Garissa district. The study revealed that participation of teachers in the decision making process is by hierarchy. It also indicated leadership style, policies and structures as important factors that influence teacher participation. The study further revealed that teachers' participation can result to teacher empowerment and ownership of decisions by teachers. The study recommended school principals to develop internal structures that encourage more stakeholders' participation in decision making in schools. It also recommended policy makers to design and conduct training courses that help school principal develop effective leadership skills that promote participative management.
