This research sheds light on the practice of codeswitching in the Colleges of Dentistry, Pharmacy and Medicine of the University of Anbar. Codeswitching is defined as the use of two or more languages in communication. This study aims at examining who uses codeswitching, the teacher, the students, or both, the general purposes and specific functions of codeswitching, and the relationship between the level of English proficiency of the students and the use of codeswitching strategies.

Raafat Nazar Muneer Al-Heety is an Iraqi researcher and a lecturer at the University of AnbarHe has got his B.A Degree in 2012 and the M.A. Degree in 2015 from the University of Anbar. In 2013, he was chosen by the US Embassy to have an intensive training course in the United State of America-Arizona State University.
