Most students rely on teacher written feedback to revise their writing. Teacher written feedback is the major way to respond students' writing. The importance of writing skill cannot be overemphasized because of student evaluations of their writing at school or in workplace. The first part asks what kind of revision strategy do student use most (compensation, memory, cognitive, social, affective or metacognitive). The second part talks about the characteristics of teacher commentary and how they influence students' revision. The third part is based on high school students' perceptions of teacher written feedback.
