Syeita Rhey-Fisher earned her undergraduate degree from Trinity College and holds a M.S. in Teacher Leadership from Quinnipiac University. She is an elementary school teacher with over a decade's worth of experience in the classroom. She is committed to providing a quality education for all children regardless of their zip code. Rhey-Fisher has researched, created, unpacked and re-designed curriculum and have collaboratively written policies around educational equity. In her pursuit to ensure educational equity, Rhey-Fisher has spoken and given testimonies to educational and state dignitaries at various events. Rhey-Fisher has also written op-eds and articles on important educational themes. These topics include but are not limited to, teacher voice, technology integration and teaching the whole child. Rhey-Fisher's work has been published in the CT Mirror, Education Post, HuffPost, Transforming Education and more.
