The book presents the author's long term reflections upon his over three decades of learning, research and teaching in Singapore, Canada, America, Taiwan and Malaysia. The book also presents the author's short term reflections upon his three years teaching experience at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus from 2011 to 2014. Among the short term strategies proposed are interactions between instructor and students, integration of multimedia technology into teaching, write to learn approach, problem solving approach, active learning approach and multidisciplinary curricula. Among the long term strategies proposed are taking courses on teaching and writing of textbooks and memoirs.

El Dr. Teng es un miembro de la facultad de la Universidad Yamanashi Gakuin. Tiene un doctorado en economía de la Universidad de Toronto y un doctorado en ciencias políticas de la Universidad de Duke. La economía política es su especialidad.
