This book focuses on teaching English as a FL to young learners in the Primary school. Set within a Vygotskian framework, it describes a longitudinal classroom-based research project carried out in Spain with children aged between 8 and 10. The Authors: Yvette Coyle, Mercedes Verdú and Marisol Valcárcel are full time lecturers in EFL in the University of Murcia (Spain), where they are responsible for training future primary school English teachers. Their interests include classroom-based research and working with young learners.
