The very purpose of any language is communication and the world language, English is no way exceptional to this.Across various countries in the world ,English language is taught either as a foreign language or as a second language,adopting various techniques and approaches.The most popular and effective approach used by many English teachers is communicative Language Teaching approach(CLT). The present book is an experimental study done in select rural schools of Tamilnadu in India where English language is taught as a second language.The findings of study have proved that the CLT approach is the best approach to bring about desirable outcomes in English Learning among school children. The CLT approach makes the class room lively and the children learn English in a natural way without finding any difficulty.
