Kimberly McCord is Professor of Music Education at Illinois State University and the founder and past chair of the National Association for Music Education Special Research Interest Group on Children with Exceptionalities. She is also on the Board of the International Society for Music Education. McCord was part of a team from Illinois State University to receive a contract from VSA/Kennedy Center for the Arts to develop assessments in the arts for children with disabilities.
