Education Faculties in Turkey. The study aimed to
develop a syllabus for teaching translation in
accordance with the findings. For this purpose, two
groups were formed: One experimental and one
control. The experimental group received education
through process approach, and the control group
through traditional approach to translation. Both
groups took one pre-test and one post-test. The pre-
and post-test results indicated that the
experimental group was more succesful in their final
translation products. Their success was further
confirmed by the questionnaire results in which the
students expressed their views about the approaches
to translation.The students stated that the process
approach contributed a lot to their ability to
translate.
Autorenporträt
He graduated from The English Language and Literature Department
of Ankara University, Turkey in 1984. Since then he has been
teaching
English at the English Language Teaching Department of The
Faculty of Education,Çukurova University. He is
interested in translation, grammar, and literature and completed
his PhD in 2002.
