It was founded in 1994 by former Formula One world champion Keke Rosberg, of Finland. It is headquartered at Neustadt an der Weinstraße in Germany, and competes under a German racing license. After his retirement from Formula One in 1986, Keke Rosberg stayed involved in racing, competing with Peugeot's World Sports Car Championship operation in the early 1990s. He entered Germany's top-level touring car championship the DTM in 1992, driving first for Mercedes-AMG, and then for Opel Team Joest.
