The Techi Dam (also spelled "Deji") is a concrete thin arch dam on the Dajia River in the mountains of central Taiwan, some 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) south of Heping in Taichung County. At 180 metres (590 ft) high, it is one of the tallest dams in the country. It serves primarily for flood control and hydroelectric generation. Its power station contains three 78 MW generators for a total installed capacity of 234 MW.
