In chapter two historical background of technical education in Sudan was introduced and discussed thoroughly. Chapters three discusses current situation of technical education from the viewpoints of the national project of establishing ideal technical colleges, the technical colleges, and challenges facing technical education. Chapter four is the conclusions which summarizes the important points in technical education in Sudan.

Dr. Osama Mohammed Elmardi Suleiman Khayal was born in Atbara, Sudan in 1966. He received a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from Sudan University of science and technology in 1998, and a master degree in solid mechanics from Nile valley university (Atbara, Sudan) in 2003; He also received his PhD degree in mechanics of materials in 2017.
