Technology Entrepreneurship is a concept which started as a result of the urge of national leaders to rapidly grow their economy by providing employment to the citizenry. Public policy makers through various policy decisions encourage citizens to develop entrepreneurial orientation, which should result to developing innovative ideas that could be commercialised to start-up firms. From such entrepreneurial orientation, new firms otherwise known as Small and Medium Sized Firms (SMFs), both in the traditional and technology sectors are created through university research laboratories or otherwise from traditional entrepreneurs, that is those not domiciled in the University). The new firms in the technology sector are referred to as Technology Based Firms (TBFs). Venture Capital is financing opportunity that usually support SMFs particularly in the technology sector through equity involvement. This book focussed on the funding problems TBFs encounter in commercialising their technology. The book has a strong prospect to help students, researchers, public policy makers, professionals and others when issues relating to entrepreneurship and financing for start-up firms are discussed.
