Many books have been written to guide writing of proposals. However, the concentration of most of these books has been guides on either writing of research or grant proposals. This book concentrates on writing of both research and grant proposals. In particular, this text book is intended to serve as a text book for students and a reference for teachers in the fields of Project Management and Research Methodology. It is hoped that the book will also be of use to planning agents and all those people engaged in development endeavours. The book s greatest claim to fame is that it has come out timely; and therefore its timely production should be taken advantage of by practitioners and members of the academia who are entrusted with the responsibility of guiding students in proposal writing.
